Artist Statement/Bio:
My wish is for my art to serve as a source of inspiration that encourages you to find delight in the beauty that surrounds us all. To offer the possibility to go within for a moment of tranquility. Currently my focus is on creating abstract expressionistic acrylic paintings on Canvas, Aluminum Composite Panel and Wood Panel.
I don’t remember when I started making art, probably about five or six; drawing constantly. I can remember making the Jugs On Table paper collage (see below). I was about twelve and made it in a school art class. I loved making the piece and was thrilled by the attention it brought me. I do remember in high school drawing and painting roses for my girlfriend. Then later, onto painting desert scenes of the Coachella Valley.
Continuing, with kite design based on traditional long tailed Chinese Dragon kites. The kitemaking evolved into The Kitemakers Of San Francisco; galleries of handmade kites showing work made by the kitemaking artisans in San Francisco. I learned to blow glass at the Public Glass studios in San Francisco. Then on to working with Roger at Vines Art Glass Making perfume bottles, vases and bowls.
Now that you know a little about me, I invite you to browse my latest work. My wish is that the images pull you into the art that I have created. My hope is that for a moment, you are transported to see the world as I see it.
